The Brief
- En-suite hadn't been touched since the flat was converted — tired tiles, plastic shower tray, and a noisy electric shower
- The room was compact and felt dark and cramped — the customer wanted it to feel bigger and more luxurious
- They wanted a hotel-feel bathroom with warm tones, not the usual all-white clinical look
- Storage was a priority — nowhere to keep toiletries off the floor
- Matte black fixtures throughout to match the bedroom hardware
- A proper rainfall shower with decent water pressure
What We Did
- Full strip-out of existing en-suite — old shower tray, basin, WC and all tiling removed
- Walnut wood-effect wet wall panels fitted throughout — ribbed/slatted panels inside the shower zone, smooth walnut on the vanity wall
- Light grey large-format tiles on remaining walls for contrast
- Black framed glass shower enclosure with hinged door
- Thermostatic rainfall shower head with matte black fittings
- Built-in recessed shower niche for shampoo and bottles
- Compact walnut vanity unit with white ceramic basin and matte black mixer tap
- Round backlit LED mirror with touch dimmer and demister
- Wall-hung WC with concealed cistern to save floor space
- Matte black heated towel rail
- Oak-effect LVT flooring throughout — handles the flex in tenement timber subfloors
- Recessed LED ceiling spotlights
- Extractor fan upgraded for better ventilation
- Full rubbish removal and site left spotless
