Terms & Conditions

Clear, fair terms for every bathroom project

Last updated: April 2026

These terms and conditions apply to all bathroom fitting work carried out by Fitted Bathrooms Edinburgh, Unit 5, Devon Place, Roseburn, Edinburgh, EH12 5HJ. By accepting a quotation from us, you agree to these terms.

Quotations

All quotations are provided in writing following a free home design visit. Our quotes are fixed price — the amount quoted is the amount you pay. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After 30 days, we reserve the right to re-quote if material costs have changed.

Our quotes include: all materials, fitting, LVT flooring, waste removal, and labour. Any work not explicitly included in the written quotation is not covered and will be discussed separately before proceeding.

Acceptance & Scheduling

To accept a quotation, confirm in writing (email or text is fine) and we will schedule your installation date. We aim to provide a start date within 2-4 weeks of acceptance, subject to availability. We will confirm the exact start date and expected duration before work begins.

Payment Terms

We do not require a deposit. Payment is due in full upon completion of the work and your satisfaction with the finished bathroom. We accept bank transfer and debit/credit card payments. "Completion" means the bathroom has been fully installed, tested, and you have inspected and approved the work.

If you wish to use our 0% finance option, this will be arranged through our finance partner and is subject to their terms and credit approval. Finance details will be provided separately.

Our Obligations

We will:

  • Carry out all work to a professional standard using quality materials
  • Complete the installation within the agreed timeframe (typically 5-7 working days)
  • Protect your property during installation, including floor coverings and dust sheets
  • Remove all waste materials and leave the work area clean and tidy
  • Ensure all plumbing and electrical work complies with relevant building regulations
  • Provide a written guarantee upon completion

Your Obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area during installation
  • Ensure the bathroom is cleared of personal items before work begins
  • Inform us of any known issues with the property (e.g., asbestos, structural concerns) before work starts
  • Make decisions on any choices (tile colours, fittings, etc.) before the scheduled start date

Delays & Unforeseen Issues

If we discover unforeseen issues during installation (such as hidden water damage, defective pipework, or structural problems), we will inform you immediately and provide a clear explanation of the additional work required along with any associated costs. We will not carry out additional work without your agreement.

If delays occur due to circumstances beyond our control (such as material supply issues), we will notify you as soon as possible and agree a revised completion date.

Guarantees

All bathroom fitting work carried out by Fitted Bathrooms Edinburgh comes with a workmanship guarantee. The specific guarantee period will be confirmed in your quotation. This guarantee covers defects in our fitting work and does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

Manufacturer guarantees on individual products (sanitaryware, panels, etc.) are provided separately and are subject to the manufacturer's terms.

Cancellation

You may cancel your order at any time before installation begins, at no cost. If you wish to cancel after work has started, you will be responsible for the cost of any materials ordered specifically for your project and any work already completed. We will provide a fair and transparent breakdown of these costs.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you accepted our quote at your home (rather than at our premises), you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of acceptance during which you may cancel without reason.

Liability

We carry public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. Our liability for any claim arising from our work is limited to the value of the contract. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Complaints

If you are not happy with any aspect of our work, please contact us as soon as possible so we can put it right. We take complaints seriously and will aim to resolve any issues promptly and fairly.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
